I think IntAIRCOAT is the best and the right forum for the aircraft painting. Here we can get in touch with all the engineers and MRO from all over the world in order to improve our production, health and safety as well as global environmental issues.
John Griffin
Director sBU Aerospace Coatings EMEA, AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings BV
This is my first IntAIRCOAT and I am pleased to say I find it an intimate forum for the Aerospace Coatings community that fosters a healthy exchange of ideas. This exchange is the key to promoting new innovations and new developments that will produce sustainable solutions for the future.
Marta Veríssimo
Engine and process engineer at the Engine Shop, TAP Portugal (TAP ME).
Any MRO goal is the achievement of high quality service to be well positioned on the market. This, obviously, includes continuous processes optimization and innovation to cut costs and bring the products used within the environmental friendly envelop.
TAP - Maintenance & Engineering, having commercial and military customers, for aircraft and engine maintenance has a broad field of experience on coats applications making our participation on the in IntAIRCOAT conference an excellent opportunity for sharing and exchanging knowledge.
The conference gives in fact, in a much easier form, access to the state-of-the-art, from several OEM's, suppliers and even competitors.
Philippe Harpin
Paint Shop Manager Challenger Facility, Bombardier Aerospace
One of the main attractions for us at IntAIRCOAT was the importance given to the green technology in the paint development which is in line with what we are working on at Bombardier.
Under the motto "Sustainable and environmentally friendly: Latest trends in aircraft coating" the IntAIRCOAT forum took place in Amsterdam/The Netherlands from 18-19 May 2011.
During the two conference days, renowned OEM's as Airbus, The Boeing Company, EADS as well as coating manufacturers presented new products, processes and potential applications within the aircraft coating industry. Additionally, various airlines as Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Delta Airlines, Alitalia and Singapore Airlines reported on their practical experiences and gave impulses for future developments in aircraft coating within the following core topics:
- New technologies for sustainable and environmentally friendly processes
- Composites in aircraft - benefits and challenges for the future
- New basecoat technology and trends in decorative exteriors
NOTE THE DATE!
The next IntAIRCOAT
forum will take place in spring 2013!
As an additional benefit, interactive focus workshops dealt with today´s and tomorrow´s aerospace related topics and offered the unique chance to discuss and network with international counterparts.
The pre-conference tutorial "Basics of aircraft coating" provided the delegates with a profound base knowledge on the theoretical background of aircraft coating, facilitating and enhancing their understanding of the high-level presentations during the main conference.
Running parallel to the conference, the adjacent exhibitors´ forum offered the ideal opportunity to get in personal contact with the most important suppliers of the aircraft coating industry.
